Eva Martinez

Eva L. Martínez has a degree in History from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH), a M.A. in Anthropology from Northern Ilinois University, and a Ph.D in Anthropology with focus on Archaeology from the University of Pittsburgh. Her topics of research include ancient settlement pattern studies, ceramic production in the past and among modern communities, ethnoarchaeology, public archaeology, material culture and cultural heritage both tangible and intangible. She is a Professor in the Anthropology Department at the UNAH and currently holds a position as Adviser on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage at the Honduran Institute of Anthropology and History (IHAH). Eva L. Martínez is part of UNESCO´s global network of facilitators on intangible cultural heritage, platform from which she has delivered training and capacity-building services in Central America and the Caribbean.
