General Director

The International Journal of Intangible Heritage is an academic journal dedicated to the promotion of understanding of all aspects of the intangible heritage in the world. Intangible heritage is the culture that humanity should preserve and transmit for the future generations. The National Folk Museum of Korea, as the publisher of the journal, shoulders great responsibilities for carrying out an important mission which is to preserve and transmit the intangible heritage.

The journal has its significance in two important aspects; it plays a role as (1) a carrier that transmits intangible heritage not only to the contemporary but also to the future generations. (2) as an influencer that promotes intangible heritage by publishing academic research papers.

We will put our best effort to make the International Journal of Intangible Heritage be recognized worldwide.
